The last year has past so quickly. One year since the King of Pop passed away. I have been affected by all of your personal stories and touched by just how much Michael Jackson meant to you and your personal stories. The affect that one man has had on the world and on History is truly amazing. I wish Michael Jackson's family well, as well as all his friends and fans.
I received a very nice email from a moonwalk event in London. I promised them that I would link to them, so here it is...the tribute is very soon and you can find all about it here: http://www.mjworldcry.com/
That's all I have to have to say today. A sad day for Entertainment and the world.
Finally it's finished and ready to go! 5 years after the first DVD! Anthony's brand new DVD "Anthony King's KING OF DANCE workout DVD" is jam packed with lot's of cool new moves and a classic dance routine workout, as well as all the cool extra advice and tips that you'd expect from Anthony King!
I want to thank all of you for your support and messages over the years. It has been over 5 - 6 years since I started my class and was first featured on Michael Jackson official website.... wow! A long time ago! It has been a lot of fun and I am so happy to see that YOU are happy getting closer to Michael through his dance style.
We will all miss Michael. Michael's legacy will go on. We will always remember Michael. He was a one of a kind dancer and his style is unique. It's been part of my life since I was a young child..... that's what you get when your older brother is Michael Jackson's official decoy for 10 - 20 years! It's as if he was part of the family. I remember when, just before church he'd say, "Michael just called"..... A very weird experience... Michael Jackson...THE Michael Jackson!
I've been doing what I do.... basically for my whole life! I am proud of that. I am proud that people are finally recognising his genius through his art. It's human nature, we appreciate something when it's gone. It's a pity.
On the morning that Michael Jackson passed away, AEG Live contacted me and asked me if I was interested in promoting Michael Jackson's "THIS IS IT" show at the o2 arena on the opening night Pre show build up. They asked me to go come down to the arena for a meeting...we were going to talk about building a stage or creating a space for activities at the arena.... they were really trying to make the whole show a great fun experience and obviously I said YES! It wasn't the first time, Sony have asked me to promote Michael's official albums before...... but this time it felt different. It was VERY exciting and I was looking forward to be part of THIS IS IT in my own small way. That was about 11.30am on June 25th 2009. My logistical meeting at the o2 arena was set and that was an amazing day. At around midnight I saw all of the reports that Michael was ill and that he later had passed away.
It was a very strange day for me. It's hard to explain even now.
I am so feel so privileged. Cherish life. None of us live forever. Try and remember that!
My DVD projects, Book writing etc have been on hold for a while whilst I dealt with all of the press issues and just increased activities over the last year or so....it's been quite exhausting at times, I have to say!
BUT finally! It's finished! My next DVD.....DVD 2....it's finally ready and I really hope you enjoy it. DVD 3 will be here a lot sooner, I promise, you will not have as long a wait. Tomorrow, I have my last recording session for my audio book "Dance Like The Stars" and that will here very very soon....something a little different based on the philosophy of physical expression...
I want to thank all the dancers and technical crew that helped me create my new DVD. I would like to thank Ray, Mo, Kai, Beautiful Evy, Simon and Rolfe Clement especially for a great job well done and helping support my vision.
On a separate note! I'm seeing that My little Moonwalk lesson on youtube is one of the most viewed videos of all time. 18 million views! Wow! Thank you..... i'm glad you are enjoying it, as well as all the others.... that is very cool indeed.
That will be ready for you soon. So! I thank you all and I really hope you put on some great Michael music and bust some cool moves! I hope you enjoy my new DVD.

http://www.anthony-king.com Learn to dance like Michael Jackson DVD! Move like Michael Jackson! Anthony King talks about Michael Jackson's "This is it" rehearsal footage live in the Sky News studio
Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT movie and tour documentary is coming soon and the movie poster looks great. It looks like it is going to be a fitting production, a classy production for the King of Pop. I am looking forward to see what they have done...I have a feeling it will be something special.
"This is it" is a film comprised of footage filmed over the last days of the King of Pop whilst rehearsing for his 2009 comeback tour which would have been performed at the o2 arena in London. The film is out in cinemas worldwide on October 28th and will be an insight into the workings of the man and a real behind the scenes exclusive.
"Everyone needs a signature dance move. I discovered this recently at a friend's wedding when an impromptu circle formed on the dance floor, and reveller after reveller stepped into the ring. Break-dancing, body-popping, tap, jive, Charlston... I felt a gentle sweat coming on '“ I couldn't reveal the fruits of belly-dancing lessons at university over a decade ago. Afterwards, I resolved never to put myself in that position again. I would learn to dance like Michael Jackson instead.
Pineapple Studios was the grooviest place to flex your Lycra in the 1980s. Since the passing of the King of Pop (and the return of Lycra) it is enjoying a renaissance. This is partly thanks to the popularity of choreographer Anthony King's regular Michael Jackson dance classes. On a Wednesday night at 6pm, the rather warm Covent Garden dance studio is packed with Jackson fans in tour T-shirts and sweat gear, getting acquainted with the man in the mirror. I feel intimidated, but I'm soon distracted by King's infectious energy and snake-hipped charisma. We begin with 'Wanna Be Starting Something'. Wrist-flicking, leg-shaking, body-pumping, air-punching '“ and that's only the first 1.5 seconds. We try it to music twice, and proceed to the next sequence, which involves unladylike thrusting. This I find embarrassing, especially as I'm positioned next to the window of our street-level studio.
'Shamone!' a class member exclaims triumphantly as we put the whole routine together. By the end of the hour I'm feeling so limber, I could almost perform in the piazza itself. So that's why the class has a 'do not come dressed as Michael Jackson' dress code! After all, there can only be one King of Pop '“ well, two actually."
A tired Anthony King was interviewed by ITN News where he discusses being asked to be part of the O2 This Is It concert residency pre-show by AEG Live on the week of Michael Jackson's passing. Anthony had a logistical meeting scheduled at the O2 arena on the week Michael died. Anthony also talks about the history of his Michael Jackson style dance class, being featured by Michael Jackson, how he started, as well as being introduced to performing by his step-brother who worked for Michael Jackson for many years. You can also see Anthony dancing in the video: http://www.anthony-king.com/
In this Channel 4 interview choreographer Anthony King makes his tribute to Michael Jackson, along with stars like Stevie Wonder, he says that "Michael Jackson's spirit will live on through his art". Channel 4 also feature footage from Anthony's class where he is dancing to "Thriller"
